seb's mom
To Lorenzomama and other volunteers - tku
Once in a while, I login to see if I can help. I always see you have already responded. Always ready to help. You never judge. You are always there for people you don't know, helping them and guiding them. You are all angels for helping people in need. My mother was diagnosed with cancer at the same time my son had Reflux and was on a Nose tube almost two years ago. My world had ended, I had nothing left. My mom had surgery and she got better. This week we thought the cancer is back. Thank God, the biopsy tested negative this morning. But the last week I have been going from website to website to learn from people if the cancer is back what our chances are and what we should do. I remembered how helpful it is to have somebody guide you when you are lost. Thank you for always responding to people. Thank you for always being so kind.

Thank you so much for this...it brought tears to my eyes. To feel that we are not alone, that our suffering and challenges are seen and heard and understood by others -- this, I believe, is what everyone needs. As parents, we are called upon to endlessly offer that to our children; as humans, we need that from our peers. I have always been, and always will be, indescribably grateful to all those who have been here to help us (including those who work so hard to keep this site, and others like it, up and running). The only way I know to repay the feeling of having been seen, heard and understood here is to be here seeing, hearing and understanding others when I can. Thank you so much for your encouraging words.

I am so glad to hear that your mother's biopsy came back clear of cancer, and I hope for you many more years together as a family. It is my belief that when a mother loves a child, that love lives forever and always, beyond this place we call life, and that when we have been loved by a mother, we can always quiet our minds and feel that love surround us, even when the familiar arms we long for are no longer available to us.
