Nationwide Children's Hospital
My 17 year old daughter has been diagnosed with and treated for GERD for 7 years. For several years I have thought that she has a motility issue. She saw a GI at Cincinnati this month who suggested that she has a motility problem instead of acid reflux. He said that her symptoms are not typical of acid reflux. We are now considering a visit to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Anyone know any of the doctors there, and any suggestions? Thanks

This is by far *the* hospital for childrens motility issues.

We were seen their for motility and had testing done. We live in VA, so we traveled for this as the tests and that particular GI sub specialty was not available here at the time, it is now. :-)

We saw DR Di.L. and Dr. M. Not sure about last names, I know on some forums it's not allowed. Check their website. But DR. DiL is *the* motility specialist and one of if not the best at what he does.

The next best place would be Boston Children's. They run neck and neck to each other.

You will be in good hands. We were on their GI floor for 5 very busy days. The nurses were awesome and dealt with our tube feeder wonderfully, they even skipped middle of the night vitals so I could get some sleep!! SSHHH don't tell anyone. LOL

If you have any site specific questions just let me know.

Check with your
doctor first!
