has my 2nd baby got reflux as well?my first son had silent reflux that was controlled well with just gaviscon. he is now 2 and still has a little gaviscon in his bedtime milk.
i now have a 3 month old girl and suspect she might have reflux too.
she cries constantly in the evenings for 2 hours or so. she will fall asleep on me but intermittently start crying, sometimes after a hear her regurgitating. she spits up a lot of clear frothy fluid.
i started her on gaviscon which helped her (she was only taking 2-3 oz at a time but with gaviscon she will take 5-6oz). previously to that i stopped breastfeeding at 12 weeks as she kept refusing to feed or coming off half way through and screaming and i couldn't take it any longer.
she is gaining weight ok and is happy lying flat on her playmat. she hates her carseat and screams when in it. some nights she sleeps 7-8 hours, others she wakes up after 3 hours. she always feeds well at night but fusses during the day.
it feels like it is all getting worse and not better.
do people think she has reflux or is it just normal baby stuff?

Mom to two refluxers. DS 4.5 years, on prevacid since 5 weeks. Trial wean this summer...fail. Intolerant of dairy and soy DD born Nov 2010. Currently on zegerid. Had stomach malrotation & surgery at 9 months. Avoiding dairy/soy with her while BFing.
|It sounds like she very well could have reflux. Both my kids have had it. I knew early on with the second that she had it too. She spit up all the time, was fussy, would not sleep or never slept flat. She had a strong refusal to BF starting around 2 months due to the pain. What formula do you have her on? Many kids are intolerant of dairy and/or soy and that can make reflux symptoms worse. When is your next well baby check up? I'd let your doctor know your concerns and see what they recommend.||Check with your
