to do or not to do is the question (surgery)
My daughter has severe GERD's she was diagnosed at 2 weeks when started to aspirate stomach acid and ended up only weighing 5 pounds from being 9 at birth. we have tried pretty much everything to help and meds will only help for about a month or two and stop working. she is currently on Prilosec at 20mg twice a day. she just recently turned 5 and we went through the endoscopy and ph probe along with biopsies. the results were the same she is still missing 90% of her LES and has alot of "events" happening meaning about 120 per day. The question is: the doc wants to do a surgery to pull Her stomach up over the esophagus to fix the issue. I have found hardly any info about the surgery and was wondering what others have found out about them or if you have had it done and what the results were? any help would be wonderful!!
