sippy cup issue
Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on different "sippy" cups for my six year old. She still doesnt have much success of drinking out of a cup with no lid except at home and she has to be hydrated at school. I hear all the time "she is still on a sippy cup" I think im just venting because people dont truly understand. She requires thickened liquids and only a few brands allow it to come out. Most sippy cups are babyish in nature and thats the last she needs is to be teased. i already send her snack (stage 2 baby fruit) in a different container. If anyone has suggetions please help thanx

Can she use a straw-type sippy cup? Would something like this work?: http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Phases-Stainless-Bottle-Purple/dp/B002UJGK1C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1301077381&sr=8-3 There's a matching food container too!

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. You can get these at Target, Walmart, Walgreens etc. At the beginning of the school year they are with the school supplies. This time of year they are probably by the camping stuff.

I had a thought today... I cant remember if you daughter has a milk allergy. If not, have you tried adding Carnation Instant Breakfast mix with whole milk? It ends up being a nice thickened (but not too thick) constency, lots of nutricition and quite a few calories... 235 or so. It might be a good addition for her.

Zack born 09/28/07 @ 31 weeks. Dx silent reflux @ 6 mo. Now not so silent. Switched to Elecare @ 9 mo. On Prevacid 15mg 1x daily. Looking to stop the puke and gain some lbs.
Puke stopped about 24 months and he's learning to eat...very slowly.
Still on prevacid and periactin.
The only sippy cup Z ever used was the Dr. Browns one...I bought every one available! he quickly switched to a straw cup/ juice box.
Check with your
doctor first!
