BufferBabies Question
I have eliminated all dairy and soy from my diet and it seems to be helping. I believe both CaraCream and Chocobase have dairy in them so was looking at BufferBabies. I'm confused about what comes in the order. It says the introductory kit is $15 and includes enough for 2 suspensions. Is that just enough for 2 doses? Has anyone been able to order through a pharmacy and get insurance to pay for it? We are on 5 weeks of prevacid but just switched a week ago from a lower dose of the suspension version (which I have since read is not stable after 2 weeks) to 15 mg of solutabs. But it's still rough. I know I probably need to wait another week to see the full benefit of the solutabs too.

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. My Caracream bottle specially says it does not have dairy in it. That said..

The introductory kit has the bottle, funnel, syringes, directions and the BB. Each suspension last about 3 weeks. That gives you the chance to try it for a couple of weeks and if you like it then you have time to order refill packets before you run out.

OK that makes sense. I was a little shocked at the price thinking it would be $15/day! I'm still on the fence b/c despite the volume of spit up coming out Soren's still gaining well and is reasonably happy most of the day. Sleep still is horrendous though so that's what's bothering me - and him :( Yesterday he was so so so tired and I was rocking him and he just kept jolting awake and looked so ticked off every time he woke up. I know he's not getting good quality sleep b/c of it especially during the day b/c he still eats pretty frequently every 2-3 hours.

In my opinion... quality sleep is just as important as demeaner and weight gain. Their little bodies need rest.

Mom of 3 boys. Youngest Sullivan 9/27/10 refluxer severely
Wanting to try zegerid OTC and caracream
Nothing has worked well so far for my refluxer. Though I've tried and tried prevacid solutabs don't seem to help. My son ends up with white beads everywhere. He can only sleep feed. And I'm worried that'll go away next. Please, anybody used this and have a story to help? I feel like he just needs a good dose of meds. He spits up mucousy stuff all day :(. And he's a happy kid. Gets hungry and can't eat. Very hard to watch. What now?!
