GI appt..A nurse just called and gave us a date of Nov 8 for a GI appt for my Brynn. Of course, I can't get in until January to the closer location, but oh well, we will make the drive in November! So, we've never seen a GI dr before. What can I expect the first visit? I'm going to start a journal and jot down everything that's happened the last few weeks (I can't remember dates/specifics for beyond that) and continue the journal until the appt. Anything else I should be prepared for? Will they actually do tests or is it more of a consultation? Will it be a long visit? Sorry, I absolutely HATE not knowing what's going on or what to expect....lol Thanks in advance!

|For us the first visit was a consultation, with the GI listening to our descrition of all that we were observing, examining Lorenzo, and then discussing the various things we might want to consider doing. He happened to be a very 'it up to the parents to decide how to proceed' sort of guy, so it was very informational and we went away with a lot to consider and then it was up to us to re-contact him to move ahead with anything. Keeping the journal is a great idea, and I always advocate going with a list of specific questions you have, and a copy for the doctor, so that you can be sure you aren't leaving until your questions are answered in a way you understand.||Check with your
