Which Mylanta product, how much, when to give?Which Mylanta product do you use? There is a children's Mylanta chewable tablet but that is for 2-11 years. K is 19 months and so I guess I should use the liquid form (there is no age mentioned on this and it seems like adults use this as well). My GI said that I should use this only on an occasional basis...how often do most of you use this? Also, how much do you give (the dosage listed for e.g on Mylanta Supreme just says 2-4 tsps but doesn't mention for what age or weight). Also, when do you give this (Does this have to be given at a different time from zantac and any PPI)? I also give her Mylicon for gas. Thanks!

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Read his story for more specifics that just might help you too - Karen
|Aluminum Free Mylanta Cherry Supreme is recommended for children. If you dont see it in your store the pharmacy will order it for you. It is about $4. You can get the dosage from the pharmacist. It can not be given within 2 hours of PPIs or Zantac. Go to Marci-kids.com and click on medication. Wealth of info there. |
