GERD TREATMENT USING YOGA
I HAVE BEEN A GERD PATIENT MYSELF FOR QUITE SOME TIME. MY TREATMENT INVOLVED THE FOLLOWING FOR A DURATION OF FOUR WEEKS ONLY WITH ZERO COSTS. 1. WATER TREATMENT EARLY MORNINGS (FIRST 3 DAYS ONLY), THIS IS NEEDED ONLY IF THE STOMACH IS NOT CLEAN IN THE MORNING. 2. FOUR CUPS (150 ml) CHILLED PLAIN WATER TO BE SIPPED FOUR TIMES A DAY, BUT NEVER AFTER MEALS (FIRST 3 DAYS ONLY) OR HOT DRINKS. 3. YOGIC PRAANAAYAAMA - KAPAAL BHAANTI 20 to 30 MINUTES EACH MORNING (20 DAYS). KAPAAL BHAANTI IS JUST PULLING THE STOMACH MUSCLES INSIDE WITH FORCE AND BREATHING OUT THROUGH NOSTRILS ONLY. IT TAKES ABOUT A SECOND OR SO. 4. FOR FURTHER GENERAL WELL BEING, I HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO DO ANULOM - VILOM PRANAAYAAMA ONLY FOR 3 MINUTES IN THE MORNING. I will be happy to share my experiences with yoga and IBS / IBD related problems.
