Only eats while sleepingHello All,
I was so relieved to find a forum for parents who are dealing with this difficult issue. I am a first time mom with a 3.5 month old DD who has been diagnosed with silent reflux at 5 weeks (though no tests were done to prove this - diagnosis based on my description of symptoms).
She has been on Prevacid for a couple of months now at 1.3ml/day and there has been an improvement with the screams that would normally happen while eating. However, the past couple of weeks, she has point blank refused the bottle while awake. Her little tongue pushes it out and she turns her head from side to side and there is no way she's having it.
I have discovered that feeding her while she's asleep is the only way i can get the 30oz a day she should be having. It's exhausting - I am completely house bound knowing that i have to have her sleeping and fed every 2-3 hours to get the required amt of food.
I don't know what to do anymore. I'm in tears on a daily basis because i no longer can hold my little girl and experience the bonding that's supposed to happen during feeding times.
Has anyone ever gone through the bottle aversion before and gotten through it? Any tips or suggestions? Please help. I'm a heartbroken mummy over this.
Wishing all of you and your LOs the strength to get through this.

If your baby is taking 30oz a day at 3.5 months old is actually very good. My daughter was taking only 20 oz a day and was managing to gain good weight. Don't be too focused on the number of oz she should take in a day.
I so understand your pain, I am still living it, my baby is 7 months old but you know what it gets better, it does. Just have the doctor keep an eye on ur baby and you always make sure baby is hydrated and I think your doing a great job on that.
I also had to dream feed my baby and it was a lot of work.
Hang in there, as your baby grows it will get better||Check with your
