I am looking for input from those of you who have used this therapy. I am curious to know what actually occurs during a session, if it was successful, what are the pros and cons and does insurance ever cover this type of thing? That's all I can think of for now.

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Read his story for more specifics that just might help you too - Karen
Angela has used this type of treatment. Read her article on her results. Go to the Reading Room, under Alternative Therapies, click on BioSet.

i can't tell you we have ever tried it but i am very interested about hearing your experience with it if you do choose that path for your little sweetie. i briefly looked into it and it sounds very interesting, do you think your little one has allergies? how did you hear about this?

finding out if insurance covers something like "alternative therapy" is easy, you can call your insurance company and they will tell you. if they don't you can submit a claim but that is no guarantee they will pay for it either.

I did read the article in the reading room and found it helpful. I believe that was who suggested it to me on a previous post. However I was looking for more input. My husband is a hard sell and I doubt he will do something he considers costly on one recommendation. Also I read more about it through the internet but I can't find testimonials except those produced by those offering the services. I guess I will call the practitioner here in my area and ask all my questions. My worry must seem insane but my husband really wants to just take him off the meds entirely, breastfeed like "God intended" and not limit my diet. Pretty much treat my son like nothing is wrong. He is difficult to deal with on top of the constant vomiting Forrest does. Every time I call the insurance it takes 20-30 min to get an answer. My boy doesn't let me have that kind of time. Lol! Anyway, thanks ladies I'll let y'all know if I get to try it and how it works.

Oh... you have a tough battle on your hands. Just remember that you are the momma and momma's know best! You do what you feel is best for your son. Not treating reflux is not a good idea. The acid can do a real number on their esophogus. I lost a friend to esophogeal cancer 9 months ago. It was due to untreated acid reflux. Would your husband take your son off his meds if he had diabetes?
