Has anyone had a child with Strep and Reflux? They say babies aren't supposed to get Strep throat. Well, my little sweetem's was taken to urgent care last night because he was refusing to eat, drink, or nurse. And usually he atleasts nurses with his reflux. They tested him and he came back positive. I was wondering if anyone else here had a baby that had Strep throat. If so, did they choke more? Did they scream less? The reason I ask, is because my little sweetem's was not screaming near as much as normal and has been choking which he usually doesn't do. Any information would be helpful. Thank you :)

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Read his story for more specifics that just might help you too - Karen
|Ryan has not had step yet, but my non refluxer 5 year old has. She had a hard time swallowing that first day thus maybe why you are seeing the choaking issues. Great news is that Strep responds to the antibiotics very very quickly (24 hours) so you should be back to normal soon. |

|Emily has had it twice, once when she was 8 months old and again at 2. both after visits to the hospital or pedi office. and like karen said, antbx helped within 24 hours. he may not like warm fluids now so you can chill them, pedialite or water was good too. emily was a warm bottle princess but when she had strep, ice was her best friend. they even have these teething food nets we popped ice in and she loved those. i can not remember if she screamed less, but she did choke more. i hope he feels better sooN!||Check with your
