Sick Night Before Christmas!!!
FOR ALL OF YOU WITH SICK KIDS AT CHRISTMAS!!

Twas the night before Christmas at home in our castle, we’ve got a sick child… Our normal holiday hassle!

The presents were tossed quickly under the tree, For a mere three weeks ago it was surgery for me.

My sick girl won’t rest or snuggle in bed, The thermometer reads fever when run over her head.

Medicines alternating to bring down her fever, A bucket next to her to act as a vomit receiver.

A Christmas Eve trip to MediQuick was promptly taken, Pneumonia AND ear infection, they must be mistaken!

Walgreens was open to pick up her prescription, If they had been slow we would have had a conniption!

Thirty minutes in the tub bathing to prevent more infection, For MediQuick is known for it’s large germ collection!

Now to get her to eat so she can take her medication. This nasty stomach ache adds to all the frustration.

With a Christmas tree cake her appetite was revived, She ate with abandon as if she had been sugar deprived.

A Christmas movie on TV and she finally sat still, Medicine in liquids for she can‘t swallow a pill.

More Kleenex, More Mucinex, More Tylenol! More Motrin! Breathe Albuterol, Breathe Flovent, Breathe moist air so lungs open!

To the bathroom sink! Hand washing for all! Sing Happy Birthday twice and the germ count will be small!

She seems slightly better, just as my sanity was cracking... Wait! Spoke too soon, now the others are hacking.

We are rescheduling Christmas. For its all we can do! We sure hope this holiday will be healthy for YOU

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Read his story for more specifics that just might help you too - Karen
Oh no!!!!! I swear the cooties know when there is a holiday, or there are plans or better yet when you actually plan a day for yourself. So sorry!!!! I hope the household is better now!
