Hey! I haven't posted in a while. Just been busy with Holden being sick, homeschooling, and 3 kids! I want to email you. Holden is having recurrent tonillitis, canker sores, constant raw throat just like Ryan did. I also think that with his DGE and him getting older and "snacking" more that his nighttime prevacid isn't being given on an empty stomach. We go to the allergist Thurs. and I have put several calls into Marci Kids for caracream to try but they won't email or call me back. Shoot me an email tracyanntarver@yahoo.com Thanks!

Hey Tracy! Sorry to but in. I'm sorry to hear about Holden. We're dealing with raw throats as well. I just wanted to let you know that we're going to try the caracream but the kit to make the stuff is out of stock right now. They're waiting for a shipment to come in soon. Karen gave me an email address that would help you get in contact with the guy that makes the stuff. He's really good about responding too. Call me sometime. Happy one year to Holden by the way. I know it's almost a month late. Take care Jen

Isn't kody's b-day any day now? Great to hear from you! Yeah, i emailed that guy David i think. Is that who? Never got a response. Maybe b/c it is backordered. I can't find your number anymore. i saw on FB that it looked like Kody has been sick. Did you take him to the dr yesterday?

Hey I'll have to call you sometime soon and I'll email you with my phone number. I emailed him at first and never got a response and then after about a week and a half emailed him again. He responded back to me so I don't know if emailing him again will help or not.

Kody is sick again but this time it's an ear infection. I didn't even think that it was that. I thought it was his throat again. His birthday is Friday and we're having a party on Saturday so I'm hoping he's back to himself by then. Good to hear from you!

OK David did just call me. They are backordered and there is a chance that when they do come in there may not be enough to go down the list of people. He said some people get the starter kits and don't use them so he will make some phone calls. That is discouraging news but he was very nice.

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. OH NO!! I just reorder another shipment! I cant believe they are on back order. This isnt good. Did he say how long it is on back order? How in the world does that happen?

OK, enough about me and my pitty party. Have you been giving Holden a lot of motrin lately?

The reason I asked about the Motrin is because the allergist said that either Ryan was allergic to Motrin or his reflux was totally out of control... leaning more to the motrin. I stopped giving motrin (only give Tylenol now) and started Caracream at the same time. Never had another canker sore, raw throat or tonsillitus again. Dont know which was the cure but I am not messing with either one.

Oh that's a bummer! I sure hope that all of us are able to get it.

Don't worry Karen! It is not the caracream that is on backorder. It is the starter kit (the syringe stuff). I am sure you already have the equipment. Because the starter kits are "free" he said many people ordered one to use "just in case" and aren't using them. He is having to send emails to these people to please return them b/c there are kids that really need them. Evidently I have to have the equipment and then just order the cream/buffer babies like you do. No, Holden doesn't take much motrin. Actually he only has taken it after a tonsillitis diagnosis if he runs a fever. The pedi just keeps saying it is viral but I don't see how a kids keeps a virus for several months. It is very frustrating as you know b/c he won't eat. I also know that his bedtime prevacid is not on an empty stomach and I feel like he is just having a lot of breakthrough acid at night time. His wet burps and throw ups smell acid now where they use not too. Docs won't give him more than 30 mg of Prevacid (which he has been on since 5 months) but with his feeding schedule being different now than just bottles his stomach is full at the end of the day. He also has documented DGE that was shown on an emptying scan and we feel this is a huge part of the problem. I am convinced that his reflux is somehow playing a part in this recurrent tonsillitis. It would be so nice to not have to worry about timing and know he was getting all of his medicine.

Ask David to just send you the Caracream. That is all I have ever used. Not sure what the "equipment" is with the starter kit. There is not equipement needed. I open the capsules of prevacid into the first bottle, set it in the fridge for 10 minutes and then dump it in the 2nd bottle which is the powdered caracream. I use what ever syringe is clean. Tell him you will buy a 6 pack kit. I will put money that this will put an end to his throat issues. That and dont give Motrin anymore. Stick with Tylenol. I know I know... its like giving sugar water compared to Motrin but I really do think that the Motrin makes it worse.

He told me they don't make caracream anymore it is now buffer babies and each syringe is hand made and costs them about $100 to make. See I thought it was the other way around-use to be buffer babies but now caracream. Surely he wouldn't be making me wait for no reason. That is why it is backordered is b/c of the supplier that makes the stuff. Who knows. I told him I heard about it from you and he said he knew exactly who you were as he remembers a letter you wrote thanking them.
