Pediatric Gastro Doc in DC area?
My daughter is 15 mos and has had silent reflux since 5 weeks (diagnosed). We have a Ped Gastro doc, but would like a second opinion. We're looking for a doc who will work with us, who is up on the research and wants to partner with parents. Anyone have a recommendation in the Washington, DC/Bethesda, MD area? Thanks.

We see Dr. Stephen Borowitz at UVA and LOVE him!!! He is very laid back. Takes ALOT of time with us and you wait about five minute and you actually see him! I can't say enough good things about UVA. We are going to start going to the Kluge feeding center after the new year. Know this is not DC, but Charlottesville is not too far away. We are from Richmond and it is well worth the drive.

We're seeing Dr. Wolfe at CNMC. We just had a scary event where our daugther choked and turned purple. I was really happy with the way Dr. Wolfe handled it. She very responsive and reasonable. Good luck!

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
I've not posted to the forum in a while, but decided to pop on to check up on all the kids.

Our ped GI was fantastic - Dr. Sirlin in Ashburn, VA. He recently moved offices, but will still be in Ashburn, about 40 min west of DC.

His office was available to us anytime we needed, and he got us in with 2 days of the pediatrician's request foor us to be seen. Good luck!!

Check with your
doctor first!
