Boy have I been there! My heart just goes out to you. Until you find the right combination of milk/medicine it is more than difficult! Don't you just "love" all the free, well intentioned parenting advice? I lived in a lazy boy recliner with my little one for about the first 3 months. Each of us sleeping 20 minutes an hour. Mine did love the pea pod sling and it did give me some saniy. This is a baby sling found at fancy children boutiques, however, you can order for 1/2 the price right off their website. The sling freed my arms so that I could keep the baby on me and still go to the bathroom, eat, and drink. These are small priviledges, but they kept me sane! You are doing a wonderful job as a mom and your days will get easier...or maybe your idea of "normal" just changes! :)

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Read his story for more specifics that just might help you too - Karen
You can continue to give her Axid while you wait for the prevacid to kick in. Just keep them 4 hours apart. Dont forget abou Mylanta Cherry Supreme. You can use that too.. again keep the dosing away from the prevacid by 4 hours.

((HUGS)) As one who spent almost two years of non-stop hellish nights, I know so well the agony of being where you are right now. Hang in there. I know there were so many nights when I just thought I couldn't take it anymore, when I wanted to run screaming from the house, or thought I would truly go insane if I didn't get more sleep. At my most desperate times, I would invoke the memory of a friend of mine whose baby died at 7 months and imagine her sitting in a corner of the room, reminding me that she would give anything in the world, even nights of sheer hell, to just hold her sweet little girl again. It does get better, I swear. Even when things don't resolve as quickly as you might like (or feel you need), the human ability to compensate is truly incredible. You will make it through this, you really will...and you will never be alone on this journey for even a second, as those of us who have, or still are, traveling the same path are always standing beside you. ((HUGS))
