nutrition and recipes
Hey all,

I need some advice/ideas for meals for Jazz o, low sugar, preferably no tomato sauce either etc... also I need something that does not necess. revolved around a protein (ie. chicken and potatoes), it can be a veggie plate too.

Do you guys have any ideas for me?

Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Read his story for more specifics that just might help you too - Karen
A nutritionist from Early Access would likely have lots of ideas and recipes for you. The one that I spoke to sent me a bunch of high calorie recipes. It is at work. I will look through it tomorrow to see if there is anything in there that might be of interest to you.

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
What about homemade pot pies? I do a veggie one for lent with a cheese based sauce, though you could probably find a substitute

Barley? You could make a veggie-barley soup with different stocks.

I can use some protein, I just want something more carb/veggie so that I can make that the bigger part of her meal. I have made some soups, but she can be so picky!!

Have you looked at the cookbook Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seidfeld? I gave it to my friend that has a picky eater and she loved it.

One thing is do with Ryan is make him a ham sandwhich, bread, cheese, butter and ham press it together so it all kind of sticks together and I use a pizza cutter and cut it into cubes. Perfect for a toddler on the go. I take it outside while he is playing and he will run up grab a square, pop it in his mouth and off he goes.

Ok, it didn't post my last reply. E-mail me with her restrictions and I will try to come up with some ideas. RackleyFive@cox.net Ella is a pain to plan for too... sometimes I just get into a rut and it helps to have someone to bounce ideas off of...kwim? We do sandwiches with cookie cutter shapes and the girls love it. You could do them with veggies.... cucumber etc...
