Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Have you asked your ped or GI about giving a dose in the am and pm? I've heard from all my friends here that kids metabolize meds faster than adults. That means if the dose is split it stays in the system better. I'd put in a call to the dr and ask.

Thanks, I plan on calling this morning. I only did it that 1 day and he was miserable so I went back yesterday to the morning dose and I tried giving Mylanta at bed. He threw up the Mylanta and was a screaming monster last night. We just finished a round of antibiotics for an ear infection, so im not sure if it's his ears or his stomach or both! I know the real problem is I forgot to knock on wood when I said he was doing ok and I was finally able to adjust to his sleep patterns. LOL

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Oh yes....rule number one.....never actually say that your little one is doing better ...LOL :)

Sorry he feeling miserable again. I bet the antibiotics messed with his tummy. Are you giving him probiotics?

Check with your
doctor first!
