Neocate Junior Dosage help
Hello again, I started Johnnie on the Neocate Junior and the GI doctor gave us some sample cans of the powder. So the way im reading the can it says to use 1 scoop per ounce of liquid, but the scoop is huge. With the Elecare it was 1 scoop per ounce but the scoop was tiny. It has an alternate dosage of 1 scoop per 2 ounces but it says by physician orders. I wasn't sure if the 1 scoop per ounce is for older children that require more calories. I guess I should say im hoping- because this stuff is outrageously expensive and the thought of having to use twice as much formula is going to kill me. LOL Does anyone know how much I need to use? He will now take 6 ounces at a time.

Does it say how many calories per oz? I would think it should. I know on the vanilla elecare that says 1 years plus the directions are for 30 calorie per oz but there are alternative directions for 20 calorie per oz. Don't know that I was of much help.

I would call Neocate tomorrow to make sure. There should be a number on the can. If not go to their website and get their number.
