esophagectomy
A man in Carlesbad, California was interviewed by the newspaper. He had surgery to remove his esophagus. http://www.currentargus.com/carlsbad-news/ci_12532611?source=rss

I can't make this link work. My son had a partial esophagectomy due to the degree of damage to his esophagus from his reflux. His esophagus was extremely damaged and was essentially a fibrous tube which was also partially due to his previous fundoplications. Do you know what they used to replace his esophagus? I'm very curious since there aren't a lot of people out there who are similar to Spencer.

Bummer that link doesn't work anymore. I have the full text. I also called and left a message at the man's house to see if he wants to use our web site to continue talking to other patients.

I can send you the text if you want. I can't just post it because that violates the newspaper copyright. Send me a note at gergroup@aol.com
