Anyone ever heard of NAET to treat allergies?
A friend of mine in Malaysia mentioned it to me regarding Abby's MSPI and reflux. She used it with her dd and her reflux and it helped greatly. I had once looked into it for my Dh and his dog and cat allergies. I found someone near us that does it but of course she is moving the beginning of July and we are leaving for vacation on June 12th. So we are going for her 1st appt this Friday. Then hopefully she can get in twice next week before we leave. You can check out info about NAET at www.naet.com

Lorenzo b.4/25/07 1 week in NICU w/ aspirate pneumonia from a reflux episode; diagnosed GERD at 9weeks; Used Zantac for 5months. Currently using Chinese Medicine and Craniosacral Therapy. GERD, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Sensory Processing Disorder. Ask me about breastfeeding a refluxer! Pic: day 5 in the NICU.
I had never heard of that particular program, but having found an excellent Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Craniosacral Therapist, both of whom specialize in pediatrics, we are seeing amazing results in all of Lorenzo's health issues -- even the relatively minor things that no one else seemed to care about, like his sensitivity to light. I am only just beginning to understand the theory behind these approaches, but it makes good sense to me, and these alternatives tend to be much more responsive to parental observation and concern than many western practitioners. As with anything, it makes a huge difference to find a really good practitioner.

And by the way -- WOW -- Abby looks so 'big kid' now!... :) What a cutie!

Thanks lorenzomama! I think she is pretty cute myself. :) We had our 1st appt today. She tested her so many sensitivities. She has so many and lots of environmental ones. She cleared her today for eggs and chicken so we have to avoid anything with those ingredients for 25hrs. Then we go back next Tues and Thurs. She is going to clear her on Tues for Calcium which includes milk. Can't remember what she said she was going to do for Thurs.

I really couldn't believe all the things she is sensitive to. There are so many things I can't even list. She showed a deficiency in Vit D, iodine and Vit B. I wasn't surprised about the Vit B since I know that kiddos on Prevacid for an extened time and become deficient in Vit B 12. It also showed that her body has problems using its own proteins. So this could be why she has only gained 1-2 lbs in the last year.

I so wish that I had know about her years ago. But she is hoping to be able to come back to town every month for 4-5 days to do clearings for her patients. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
