Ryan was born May 20th 2008. 9 lbs 2 oz. Ryan’s magic bullet was 30mg of Prevacid capsules mixed with Caracream from Marci-kids (I am forever indebted to the team at Marci-kids), Claratin for the mucos, and Mirlax for the constipation. Within 2 months of this combo he jumped from the 6% to the 50% for weight and continues to climb. Be strong, listen to your instincts. Oral Thrush... Totally Off Topic
Hello! I know this it totally off topic but I have come to realize that you ladies have seen it all and give great advice. Ryan has oral thrush, which I think is odd. He is almost a year old and is on probiotics. No antibiotics since March 12th. I have been wondering for a few weeks now if he had it because he would get these small white patches every now and again. This moring it was all over his tongue and breakfast was not happening for him. I finally took him in and the doctor confirmed it. Any of you dealt with it? Is it odd that he would have it at his age especially while on probiotics? I received a prescription for Nystatin. Have you guys had good luck with that. Any natural remedies that I can do in conjuction with the Nystatin? Any ideas on the source?

emily was on and off nystatin for a while it never worked her old dr even accused me of not doing it correctly when i was. i boiled all of her bottles and sippy cups and ran all her toys through either the dishwasher or disinfected them with a bleach spray but it was no use. it was so bad and she was in so much pain i got her a Rx for diflucan and the next day it was gone!

if you do the nystatin make sure you dry out his mouth with a cloth then put it in and no drinking for i think it was 10-20 mins if you search thrush on this fourm you might find some info, it's been talked about before
