Toddler teething & reflux
My son is 2 1/2 and is cutting his first back molar. He is on prilosec once a day for reflux and he has vomitted 6 times since I noticed his tooth coming in 4 days ago. He also has had trouble sleeping the past week and a fever of 100 today. Is this normal? He's never vomitted with teething before. A couple of times when he threw up it was only spit, which has never happened before.

Adriane Reese 05/16/07; seemingly healthy when born; diagnosed with MSPI, severe Reflux, Apnea, Ashtma, Epilepsy, and severe food allergies(rice, corn, milk, soy, eggs, oats, wheat, beef, chicken, squash, pumpkin, avocado, etc.);On apnea monitor, seems to be tolerating RCF w/carbohydrate mixed in; on Zyrtec, Xopenex, Prevacid
With a low grade fever it very well could be the teething that is causing. I would say if it doesn't get better soon you will want to take him in to see the ped. We always have reflux flares when Adriane is teething. The extra saliva makes it bad! Have you ever given mylanta or maalox for break through pain? You might ask you GI about doing this. We have to do it for dd almost everynight lately and especially when she was teething. I hope things get better.

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
Keep an eye on the vomit and fever. Teething can cause all the above-mentioned issues, but we are in the tail end of flu season as well. My dd's a bear when she's teething (we get about 1 day a month with no teeth issues) and the molars are especially tough. HUGS - just watch the hydration and don't hesitate to call the doc if you're concerned.
