Adriane's mom
How did the VCUG and ultrasound go? My 4 month old has had to have a VCUG and several ultrasounds as well as a Nuclear Renal Scan. The VCUG showed no reflux and the renal scan showed slow draining with probable obstruction of the left and right kidneys. Anyway, just wondering how things went. I prayed for you. I haven't been on the board long, but I do feel like I know you all from reading your posts and seeing your precious pictures.

Adriane Reese 05/16/07; seemingly healthy when born; diagnosed with MSPI, severe Reflux, Apnea, Ashtma, Epilepsy, and severe food allergies(rice, corn, milk, soy, eggs, oats, wheat, beef, chicken, squash, pumpkin, avocado, etc.);On apnea monitor, seems to be tolerating RCF w/carbohydrate mixed in; on Zyrtec, Xopenex, Prevacid
Thanks for asking. The good news is that her urine cultured out clear. So, this is the first time in a month that she hasn't had a UTI. The tests went okay. they had to cath her three times though. The first ones kept coming out. They had a hardtime with it and mentioned something about stricture or something. Not entirely sure what they were talking about. They got a smaller cath and it finally worked. She hated the whole thing. We haven't gotten any results except for the lab. I hope your lo is doing better since they did the tests and got some answers.

Hate to hear that about the cath. My little girl has been cathed before and it is MUCH harder than it is on boys (as with my son). It broke my heart to see them having to work so hard to get it into her. It went in the first time easy with my boy. At least its over and hopefully you will get some good answers. THings are getting better with my sons kidneys. Now if we could get to the bottom of all his feeding and GI issues. We are going to Cincinnatti for some extensive testing in April.

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Poor baby. I hate those caths! Hope she is feeling better.
