flying help
I have to fly with my 7 month old this week. He sounds like he is getting pneumonia AGAIN. Does anyone know if it will hurt him to go on a plane? The other question I have is has anyone taken a car seat stroller combo through security and had it gate checked? I was thinking that would be the easiest way to lug him around the airports and still have a car seat when I got there.

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
I would definitely get him to the doc before you go on your trip. If you think he is getting pneumonia, I would want the antibiotics before I leave.

The only thing that I know that hurts on a plane is an ear infection.

The stroller car seat combo works great. You will need the car seat for the plane or maybe he is riding in your lap. Anyway, they are happy to check them at the gate and they will be ready for you at the gateway when you arrive.

Make sure you are ready for security. You will have to take baby and bags off the stroller and hand the stroller over for inspection.

Have fun - hope you are going somewhere nice.

Check with your
doctor first!
