Hi, I've posted a few questions, thank you for the replies. This seems like a wonderful formum. I feel so alone sometimes, even with all my family around. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 6yr old with GERD, he's had 3 scopes so far, one doctor said Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, but he outgrew his intolerances to milk/soy/wheat/egg, still has severe allergy to Peanut/Tree Nuts and some asthma. We struggle daily with his "pickiness" and have finally given up, I continue to offer him what we eat, then later he gets "his" food anyways. Recently my 9yr old was scoped and had esophagitis and swelling. Looking back I see all the signs that he had reflux (silent), but he's a big kid that loves to eat, always has, my younger one struggled to maintain a "normal" weight. But after tring for 3 yrs to diagnose my 9yr olds chronic cough, he finally developed severe stomach pain, chest pain, and sore throat, I saw a GI doc and asked them to squeeze him in quickly for a scope, so here we go! No more children, so two with GERD is it for me! I just hope I can help them as much as they need it. Debbie

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Hi there and welcome. I am so glad you found this board. It is a great place to bounce ideas around and get some great advice. It is also a great place to vent because we all know how you feel.
