Aubrey's GI Update
Hello! Sorry I have responded in a while. I lurk around but with the 2 sick kids and now I have decided to try to get sick (uuummm no time for it since my surgery is in a week) I have been busy!

Yesterday I took Aubrey for a GI checkup. Basically things are going well. I told her we had forgotten to give A her med's for a few days and then just left her off to see what happened. For 3 days in a row she would say "hurts, tummy," so we put her back on the zegerid. She also was waking up a lot at night but that could have been the ear also. We are to try it just once a day for now. As far as milk the GI said based on her symptoms there is still an allergy/intolerance there. I asked about allergy testing and she said there are 3 ways the immune system reacts and that allergy testing only tests 1 way. She asked would I give her milk if the allergy test came back negative. Nope. So she said no need to put everyone through that.

I also asked if her umbilical hernia could be causing any GI issue's and she said no. I was glad to hear that!

Aubrey's ear is finally better and her sinus' seem to be clearing up so hopefully all will be good before my surgery! Jennifer~

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Glad her appt. went well! Hope everyone stays healthy.
