Jazzy and new baby update
Hi all

Little Nathan Thomas was born on Jan.20th via section (again...yuck) I got home Thursday and am in lots of pain still. He isw 5 lbs and 10 oz. Healthy thouigh, so I'm happy. He is having some difficulty bfing, but we'll get there.

The funny thing is, the hardest part of it all is that I want to pick up Jazzy so badly...but obviously can't. She's been great with DH, and adjusting well.

I don't have much time, but I'll post a pic soon. Jazzy has an appoint. also on Monday, so I'll update then....CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE'S 2 TODAY!!!!!???? Crazy how time flies!!!!! Hope eveyone is well, I am reading all your posts but won't reply much yet.

Mom to Matthew, 01/16/08, GERD baby, has been on Zantac since 2 mos. Aidan, his twin brother, no GERD. Max-ed out on Zantac at 1ml-3 times/day, and switched to Prevacid 15mg split tab 08/20/08. Switched again to 20mg Prilosec 09/18/08 due to Prevacid's restlessness/headache side effects. Reflux was out of control again and had to switch to 10mg Nexium 02/11/09. Good result so far.
Congratulation on your family new addition and happy birthday to Jazzy! I hope you'd feel better soon and the bfing goes well. All the best.

Im so happy you posted today because I havent cheecked in with th forum in a long time and I was hoping to hear from you! Im sorry that you had to have a second Cesarian birth. I had a really tough time giving up my expectation of a home birth and accepting the C-birth BUT the final result is what matteers the most---A happy healthy baby and family! Do you have the support of a lactation consultant? Thayt may help out greatly. I hope Jazzy "throws you a bone" in the sleeping department so you can rest a bit and heal quickly. I cant wait to see a photo of your newest! Good work mama!

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
ohh a new baby! CONGRATS!!!!!

We look forward to a pic!

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Congratulations! Hope you can get some rest and be up and around soon. So happy for your healthy baby boy!!!
