I didn't want this to get lost in the other thread...:)

We swaddled Jedd and had issues with him sliding down in the bassinet as well. We learned this trick in the PICU.

Take an adult sized towel. Roll that towel LONG length to make a long roll. use that roll to form a U shape. We placed the U shape in the bassinet and then laid Jedd inside the U shape. Let the feet hang over the bottom part of the U. It worked like a charm.

As for swaddling, we used one of those swaddlers from Babies R Us and it worked great. It has velcro and even Jedd couldn't get it undone...LOL

HTH Let me know if you need a picture. I'll warn you though, the only pictures I have are of Jedd in t eh PICU after open heart surgery. So they won't be any fun to look at but it will show what I mean.

Hey, Thanks!!..... I've been using some rolled up small receiving blankets but I'll try the towel thing... maybe it will have more traction.

As for the velcro swaddle (kiddopotomus I think), Little Miss Houdini-ette can wiggle her feet into each of the gaps where the pouch does not have velcro. It's funny looking but must be uncomfortable because she wakes herself up doing it. I wish I had a picture. I haven't tried the miracle blanket because I'm hesitant to spend that much on a blanket. It seems like I'm forever spending on products that don't work as advertised, KWIM?

Doh, I spelt your first name with a H on the end. Sorry...LOL

Don't ya just LOVE it when your child is a houdini?????? I hope the towel trick works. It did for us until Jedd started rolling over in his sleep. After finding him face first in the side of the towel twice we took otu the towel. too much of a risk.

Jedd was aobut 9 months though when he rolled in his sleep. He was delayed due to his heart defect. He's all caught up now.

The towel works better than what I had so thanks! I can see though that as she gets bigger I'm going to have to find another solution. Glad Jedd is on track and caught up.
