Sitz markers out on day 3
So, we did the sitz markers and took an x-ray the next day. There were 13 markers left. We took another x-ray today and looks like they are all gone. So, maybe her motility is fine. Although, she is on mostly liquid diet so it may make difference. We r waiting on final report from radiologist to know for sure. Have any of you done this test with your children? From today:

I don't really know much about he Sitz test but if you look in the first z-ray you will see the little rings....they follows those through and see how long it takes for them to leave the GI tract. I've heard of adults swallowing the capsule but not a child. It's kinda neat actually...LOL

Jessica is right, the circles are the sitz markers.

Here is an insert from thisWebsitewebsite: " Sitz marker studies are a good screening test that can help discriminate between colonic dysfunction versus anal outlet obstrruction. An abnormal study can be observed if there is a fecal impaction at the time of study. "
