Thank God for this Christmas...
Christmas is, above all things, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. So no matter who is/isn't around you , or how everyone is around you, on this very special day- Christmas is still Christmas. But, as a little girl, my Christmases were always surrounded by family- everyone was there- singing, praying, playing- and healthy. When I had my first child, I looked forward to having such Christmases with my children- to pass along all those traditions that were passed unto me. But my last two Christmases were really rough. The first one- Amalia was 1 1/2 months old and not doing well at all. The second one- Amalia's teething did not let her or anyone sleep, my mom was in P.R., my sister in law lost her twin baby girls...I prayed for Christmas to be different this year. Amalia got ill just last week- her reflux went horrific- she could not sleep day or night, vomiting like crazy, E.R. visit.... I prayed she would get over it prior to Christmas Eve, and that Atalia would please not get it. God granted me both wishes. He granted me an usual but wonderful good night from both girls prior to Christmas Eve. He granted me my sister in law, husband, mil and fil, my mom and dad, and other friends to be here with us on Christmas Eve. It was wonderful, and I just praise God for granting me my wish. Last night was bad for both girls =), but that's OK- yesterday was great, and someday it will be great all the time. For those of you not having the Christmas you thought you would have with your little ones- be patient, they will come. God Bless everyone. Special prayers today for baby Quinn.

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
I am so happy you were able to enjoy your Christmas. Thank God for small miracles!
