OT: Jesus' mommy & watching our lo suffer
This came as a great comfort to me and maybe it will to you as well. Remember that Mary watched her Son suffer. She knows our pain in seeing our little ones suffer. Ask her for strength and she will pray for you on your behalf. Having Jesus for a Son wasn't easy from beginning to end. Pregnant & not married, she suffered humiliations. Having to travel on a donkey while just about to give birth, giving birth in a barn! The three days Jesus was missing before finding Him in the temple- that must have been agonizing! He didn't marry as most did in those days, His vocation didn't really start until he was 30! And then when it did, he angered so many in the community. Of course watching Him suffer and die the way He did- as a criminal and a slave. I don't know why our little ones have to have this horrible disease and suffer. I wrangle with that every day. Mary knows parental suffering and that gives me some consolation. I hope that it will give you some as well.

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Yes, yes yes! Our church did a musical the other night. They showed some video and I cried like a baby. I thought of this too but didn't connect it to the suffering of our kids :) I was just thinking how Mary was so young when she was pregnant with Jesus. I was thinking how terrible it must have been for her to be shunned. And as you say, to know that her son the Messiah was being tortured must have killed her inside. I guess just like some of us, the only thing that got her through it was knowing that God was in control of it all and it was not in vain.
