I hope you all have a Merry Christmas. I know I said good bye and I miss you all dearly and I like knowing that you are here if I need you:) Safe traveling for you all over the holidays. (((HUGS))) amber f

Abby (4/06) Prevacid 7.5mg (evening), MSPI, goats milk (currently trying to wean off Prevacid)

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
Things to avoid: applesauce, bananas, rice

Things to try: prunes, pears, apple juice, oatmeal

We're doing 1/2 tsp miralax per day until the stools soften, then I just make sure she gets some of the softening foods for the next few days

with emily she is 25 lbs and it took her 2 tsps daily when she is constipation after a week of being on it she would go within hours of the dose like clock work! On the other hand.... With audrey at 13 lbs... she would not go on 4 tsp daily for 2 weeks some doses done twice daily, just a baseline for you lol But i would try 1 tsp and see how it goes Merry christmas Amber!!

Your pharmacist might be able to tell you since it is an otc med. Ella takes a lot more and is 35# so it depends on the kid sometimes. Make sure he is drinking enough water too. If you get the dosage the GI gave us the tip to dissolve the powder in warm water first and then mix it into the drink. If you still see the "flakes" then it won't work as well. HTH.
