Meggy update and questionR u ever nervous about entrusting your child in the care of the doctors or nurses for procedures? I think I become more so for every procedure here. Yesterday Meggy came back from her MRI with a bruise on her forehead. No one could tell me where it came from.
She slept until we got home and even drank in her sleep. Whenever she did get up to move around later that afternoon, she was limping pretty badly. Still today she is limping. I called to ask if she fell off the MRI table or anything, but was told absolutely not. What would you think, and what would you do?
We have a babies can't wait special instructor who will be coming to the house now for play therapy and to work with Meggy on endurance and tone. The team is wonderful and seems very helpful. I think we will see Meggy make progress quickly.
So we have the sleep study completed. We know that she had 2 apneas during it, but the final results r still pending. The head CT was normal, Brain MRI results pending, EEG results pending, cardio check up was great, however we were told there was no longer a murmur, but the MRI doc heard one yesterday.
We still have the colonscopy/endoscopy and muscle biopsy for mitochondrial workup left. They wanted to do a spinal tap but we didn't agree, at least for now. They want to do Resting Metabolic rate, but that requires her to sit still for 45 minutes with a mask over her face. I don't know how that will go over.
Thank you for reading so much. Have a good day.
