emily and audrey
this is both great and horrible, emily is having horrible diarehea and gobs of mucus in her diapers again. It started last night. This is the FOURTH time this year, but this is good b/c it comes so close to her colonoscpy on december 9th, so hopefully we will find something out, i pray pray pray we will.

the other night she was trying to take off her pj's telling me she was hot, i took off her shirt and she still said she was hot, she put her hand to her throat and said "hot, hurt" i almost cried! i gave her some mylanta and she fell back asleep. i think if we see no results from the colonscopy i will do one of 2 things; either a Ph test for her, i was told we could do it from home- but being the hospital is 2 hours away, we might as well just stay there. Or get a second opinion, i'm leaning more towards the second opinion...

and poor little audrey. i will not give her any more m.o.m. it was just not working for her and made her miserable. last week i started mirilax 1tsp (w/o dr consent to switch) and after 3 days of no poop i gave her a suppository and upped it to 2 tsp, waited 2 more days, no poop and she was just miserable. i think she was getting backed up b/c had to give her 2 suppositories to get everything out and make her comfortable. So i called the GI nurse today and told her mirilax isn't doing it, i refuse to do m.o.m. so do SOMETHING else. i hope they come up with a better plan.

Oh man!! Poor girls!! I can't write much now, but it really sounds like Audrey has a motility issue, which usually doesn't respond to the usual treatments. maybe reglan or motilium would help her out? I'll write more soon...gotta go for now.

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
Poor girls! For Audrey, just a thought - once we started a complete probiotic and a Mg supplement (at 4 months), Allie went on her own for the first time since week one. HTH
