audrey tomorrow
well Friday is finally here, well in about an hour lol but pretty soon we will be waking up and taking the 2 hour drive down to St Josephs Children's. The more i think about it, the less i want to do it... but it really needs to be done. So more then likely at around 11am (they always run late) she will undergo her prescribed gastrografin enema- outpatient.

My MIL is watching Emily for me tomorrow so emily won't have to be there. Thank you all for the facebook adds and support! (i saw on my e-mail) i haven't had a chance to respond or learn much about it but trust me i really appreciate it!

funny note- a little over a year ago this was the same hospital where emily went in for her EDG endoscopy. The nurse that was coordinating Emily's care could not stop staring at my dh, she even gave him the "mommy" hospital band to match emily's b/c she was just so enthralled by him. i wonder if i will see her tomorrow- i bet she will be so disappointed he had to work LOL.

I remember the story about DH getting the mommy band! lol Audrey will do fine...like I mentioned before it is freaky to watch because it looks like she is on a rotisserie! and I am sure you bring extra clothes everywhere with reflux babies, but make sure you bring clean clothes for you and her...there was poo EVERYWHERE afterwards!

Praying for you Kat and Audrey. Glad that Emi won't have to sit at the hospital all day. At least for the fact that she won't be exposed to all the germs and sickness.

LOL on the nurse. You know who he loves though. He is still with you a year later and not with her. Isn't it funny how some nurses think other things are more important than the patient (especially a child). Thinking of you guys. Be careful and praying for you. Carla

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
Prayers and hugs!

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Hope all goes well.
