fevers and seizures
well, now Quinn has fevers and seizures. ugh!!!! She is not acting down in the dumps, but her body is telling her that she is sick. She is just too stubborn. I can't believe this girl! She has had 4 seizures in the past 24 hours. And she has serious yellow watery diarrhea and she is sleeping ALOT. I don't think i need to take her to the hospital at this point. her spirits are too high and she is not having enough diarrhea for me to be too concerned. But please keep her in your prayers. The GI doctor says that if she has more than 4 diapers in a 1 hour period for up to 10 hours to bring her in. She gets seriously dehydrated so quickly. if the diarrhea picks up anymore, she is sure to need an inpatient stay. I have kept her tube feedings at a maximum of 45ml/hr because her tummy can't handle much more when she is sick like this and so far, she is tolerating ok. If she needs to be admitted, we will be traveling all the way to san diego under the care of her new gastrenterology team. Keep her in your thoughts that she can just kick this thing. -Sarah

Sarah, I don't have much to add. I just wanted to tell you that I have been following your story and Quinn's and you are two brave and wonderful people. Quinn is luckier than she can ever dream of to have you as a mom. Seizures sound so scary to me. I truly hope one day things will be figured out more clearly for Quinn. Camile

Adriane Reese 05/16/07; seemingly healthy when born; diagnosed with MSPI, severe Reflux, Apnea, Ashtma, Epilepsy, and severe food allergies(rice, corn, milk, soy, eggs, oats, wheat, beef, chicken, squash, pumpkin, avocado, etc.);On apnea monitor, seems to be tolerating RCF w/carbohydrate mixed in; on Zyrtec, Xopenex, Prevacid
You and I are dealing with some of the same stuff these days. I hate the fact that A has epilepsy and that the smallest infection or attack on her body will make her seize. We have had only two tonight but I do feel for you. I hope things turn around for you soon. You will do what is best for baby Quinn. You always have! -Amanda
