more to it
so i didn't have very much time earlier to write, so this is the conclusion of my prior post.

So it was only a week ago that we saw Dr. I. last week he said he wanted to schedule a colonoscopy and an endoscopy for emily. He said that one of the desk girls would call. I never got a call.

Emily went with Audrey and me to the GI today. as "luck" would have it she ended her streak of "normal" b/m and was having diarehea. At the office, while we were waiting to be seen, she ended up pooping. I was able to show Dr. I. her diaper and he said it seems less like a problem with sugar and more like it could be a problem with her intestines.

I told him about her getting dark circles under her eyes, that i suspected she was in pain, she refluxed a lot more, her mood changes and tantrums all day until it's over. He seemed concerned and i told him i have been telling people (GI nurses and a PA)at his office for months. He said this was the first he heard of it, WHAT!!!???!@!#@# SOOO ANGRY! I am NOT crazy about his new staff, i had a feeling they weren't taking me seriously.

He said those symptoms are exactly why he wanted to do the colo. he asked when our date was. i told him we never received a call. he said he would call with a date this week, they better set one up or i am going to switch practices. THIS will not happen again! would you be as mad too?

holy "bleepity bleep", are you serious???? OMG, people should be losing jobs over something like that! Okay, sorry for the bleeps, but that is TERRIBLE! These are small children we are talking about. I really hope you get a call this week, Kat, and I am praying it is not her intestines. I'm so so sorry for what you are dealing with. Sheesh!

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Yes, I would be totally upset! I had words with my former ped for the same type reasons...only probably less. His staff turned over at least every 6mos and his latest group was awful!

You def. should call mid-week and ask about the appt to see if they are on top of it. If they don't call by Friday, I'd tell them that you're looking for another GI-just as a warning and see if they take you seriously. At my old ped, we emailed-does this doc do that? I hated it at the old office bc that's the only way you got to communicate with people, but under these circumstances, you might could email the doc if they don't get back to you.

Oh I would be ticked off! I really hope he gets his staff in line at least for "future" patients. I hope now that he knows you can get some results and get her some relief-and you as well!

Hell yes! I would be SO upset!!! i hope they set up an appointment. Sounds like your GI doctor knows what he is doing and has a terrible staff. UGH!!! That's why I switched Quinn's pediatrician. He was awesome, but the staff was horrible!!! Now, we really don't use a pediatrician at all. I'm Quinn's pediatrician, to be honest. She sees her specialists way more than she sees her pediatrician. lol.
Check with your
doctor first!
