alex's mom
Alex was dx with silent reflux at 3 weeks old. Previously on Prevacid SoluTabs 15mg daily, now on trial of no medication. Was thought to have oral aversion, saw feeding specialist who says he's just not interested in food--no aversion at all. Slowly coming around to food. 15 months, 19lbs, 7 oz.
OT-portable/travel high chairs
Sorry to be off topic again, but I didn't know where else to ask. Does anybody have any recommendations for good, safe portable/travel high chairs? I'm looking for one that I can strap onto a chair but can check in at the gate or carry onto the plane. I have seen some online but none in stores so I can't try them out and easily return them, kwim? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks! Have a great day!

I have one that i think i bought at target online for $20...it is the girl version but I am sure there is a boy one. I can't check the brand bc it is at gma's, but it completely folds up into a tiny little thing. It's pretty cheapy but it gets the job done! i will try to find it.

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
We have the Fisher Price seat and we LOVE it (so much that we use one at home and bought one for the car for when we're out). Here it is:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2626212

There is a strap that goes around the back of the chair and one that goes underneath the chair, so it doesn't budge. The tray snaps on and off easily and I love it that it has the removable tray, so I can take that part off and dump the food while leaving the main tray in front of her for toys, whatever. One set of the straps turns into a carrying strap and the other goes around the tray piece to hold it in place when you're traveling.

Renee, mother to Nicholas, born 4/18/08 with silent reflux, moderate laryngomalacia, Sandifer's Syndrome& suspected MSPI. On Neocate, Simply Thick and Prevacid. Also mother to Nathan, born 12/06/06, who had mild reflux the first few months.
I have a First Years reclining booster seat( which you strap to chair) that I use to feed Nicholas all the time. Couldn't afford a second full size high chair and Nathan still uses his. It works great. We got it at WalMart for about $35.
Check with your
doctor first!
