How many days did it take to see 100% improvement? DD is about 85% better today, but is cramping some tonight. She is easier to console, thankfully. Normal?

For Abby to be 100% better it took us a few months. But there was def improvement in the first few weeks. Just watch out for constipation with it.

Any tips on helping prevent it?

sharlin, mom to aviah, smith and faye (4/08)-dx with acid reflux (mostly silent) at 6 months.
Looking back I suspect she's been dealing with this for most of her little life. She's tried about every formula in the book and is currently on liquid alimentum, which has really helped a lot with her fighting feedings. We also tried zantac, but she became MUCH worse, and so we've been trying to work on helping her through her diet. she's also taking probiotics, and i'm hoping to get her eating some solids more regularly.
we used it for 3 weeks and definitely saw improvement, but i'd say more like 50%. i'm now trying liquid alimentum since i wonder if corn is an issue for her, but not sure how that's going to turn out. but it's nice to hear that it could keep improving if we need to keep using it. also, she had better poops on it than she's had most of her life. so hopefully it will be the same for you! i don't know how old your lo is, but if they do become constipated, maybe try pears.

Renee, mother to Nicholas, born 4/18/08 with silent reflux, moderate laryngomalacia, Sandifer's Syndrome& suspected MSPI. On Neocate, Simply Thick and Prevacid. Also mother to Nathan, born 12/06/06, who had mild reflux the first few months.
We saw improvement in about a week or two, but never have seen 100%.

The constipation thing hasn't been an issue for us, not sure if the Simply Thick is responsible for that or not.

DS #1 (7/05) - Just ReDX'd Refluxer! Prevacid Solutab starting 4/8/09. Lots of food and environmental allergies. Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Speech Delays, Developmental Delays, Severe Muscle Tone Weakness.
DS #2 (1/08) ReDX'd refluxer. Milk and soy allergies with Soy Lecithin allergies. Oat milk drinker, Rice protein powder, DHA, and vitamins added for bulk and needed nutrition. Weak muscle tone, slightly developmentally delayed, SPD confirmed.
It was a while before we saw total improvement. We just now have normal poops (severe diarrhea was what we had before). Once it started working, it has been great.

Abby had to go on Lactulose for the constipation. After about 6 months on the Neocate we were able to wean her off of the Lactulose.

Adriane Reese 05/16/07; seemingly healthy when born; diagnosed with MSPI, severe Reflux, Apnea, Ashtma, Epilepsy, and severe food allergies(rice, corn, milk, soy, eggs, oats, wheat, beef, chicken, squash, pumpkin, avocado, etc.);On apnea monitor, seems to be tolerating RCF w/carbohydrate mixed in; on Zyrtec, Xopenex, Prevacid
We never saw 100% improvement. Of course, it was better than anything else that we had tried and we avoided TPN. So, I guess I accepted what the doc had said. "Neocate is as good as it gets. It's not perfect for her but it is good enough." Looking back I think i was crazy for going along with this but even with this new specialty formula it is the same. We are just hoping for better news at the new GI. That and a miracle that she will outgrow all this soon.
