Resolved issues: MSPI, CSID (acquired), Stage 2 kidney reflux, Chronic diarrhea.
Audrey Meadow 06/20/08. born 34/35 weeks. Still b/f and eats everything! ftt and chronic constipation.
how bad? ot
audrey has had 2 doses of m.o.m. so far (yesterday and today) and tonight at around 6pm she was so gassy and miserable. She threw up and then had a small amount of water consistency poop in her diaper. I know it was against GI orders but i gave her a suppository b/c she was just so miserable; she hadn't had a b/m in 4 days. After that she has since calmed down and is now sleeping. I am worried about the GI will say about this. but if m.o.m. didn't make her go how bad is it? i am just worried that this is a whole different set of GI issues then emily :(

My name is being used fraudently to ill represent me. Please be cautious of any information you receive with my name. including,,, anything from anyone claiming to be Engi Nowaira online. Otherwise, I will be representing myself in person so that everyone will have opportunity to identify me in person.
My previous drivers license was also stolen. The new one has extra security features on it.
Sometimes Mommie's have to make decisions that the GI won't agree with. I have done the same thing in your situation before. U r there with her every moment and u know better how to judge.

I don't know if your GI would think it is a good idea or not, but u could ask about Epsom salt. It can be prepared to take by mouth, or she could take a bath with it. Either way the box says a medical professional should be monitoring it.

Hope she feels better in the morning. I know it hurts to be all stopped up.

ethan's mom
Mom to Ethan, born 4/23/08. Diagnosed with Reflux at about 1 month, started medicating with Zantac, which wasn't helpful for us. At about 2.5 months, we started on Prevacid, twice a day, and that is working much better.
Ethan is breastfed and has a few solids that he is enjoying very much.
I would have done the same thing. If they are that agitated, you have to do something IMO. We tried Mylanta with Ethan, and it didn't have an effect on constipation either, even though it was supposed to.
