On our LAST can of formula
That's right, folks.....we are on our last can of INFANT formula, and we are NOT buying any more. Rory is 19 1/2 months, she shouldn't be on infant formula anymore. Since we canned her pediatrician, we have decided to make this decision on our own. She's drinking milk with Carnation Instant breakfast, and though she shuns plain milk in her bottles, she's just gonna have to get used to it! Please pray all goes well. She is eating really well, but not sure if this will be a fight or night on the fluid homefront. She's getting weighed on Wednesday, and I'm hoping we don't get "chewed out" for taking her off formula. She is only 19 1/2 lbs. Are we doing the right thing? It's gonna save us tons of money and we're excited to challenge her in this way. We've never really challenged her. Also, once she is on milk completely, then we'll work on the bottle wean. Wish us luck. Hopefully I'll be here on Wednesday to announce that she's finally hit 20lbs. Keeping fingers tightly crossed. HUGS

My previous drivers license was also stolen. The new one has extra security features on it.
That sounds like a great idea. If she is not getting enough calories like that, u could always add oil or other things to fortify.

I hope it goes well and that she gains appropriately. Will be looking forward to hearing that she reached her goal.

ethan's mom
Meridith
Mom to Ethan, born 4/23/08. Diagnosed with Reflux at about 1 month, started medicating with Zantac, which wasn't helpful for us. At about 2.5 months, we started on Prevacid, twice a day, and that is working much better.
Ethan is breastfed and has a few solids that he is enjoying very much.
I hope it goes well. It seems like from your posts that she is eating really well lately, so she should be at twenty! Hopefully!

keeping my fingers crossed!! We went straight to Rice milk even though I thought we'd be chewed out.....Gotta do what's best for you!! Like Engin said, you can add starches and fats if needed.

I didn't realize that Rory and Jazz were almost the same size!! Jazz is now 20.6 at 21 months, and that is all from home made french fries and coconut milk smoothies!!!

Yep, they're pretty close in size!! Little bits. Rory has gained recently, mostly from cottage cheese, cream cheese, and mac n' cheese ...She also loves fries!!! lol. I know Jazzy is mspi, which makes it more difficult to give her these fattening foods. Butter never went over well with Rory. I bet she'd like smoothies though....mmmmm.
