More ?? about my aunt's stinky house (lol)
I hope y'all remember me posting about my aunt's air fresheners. About how they are overwhelming and Maggie's stuff stinks and how the fruit loops they sent home tasted like air freshener.

Well, I took her over there at 7pm last night and picked her up at 8am this morning. She was there 13hrs, most of the time sleeping.

My aunt said "she's getting a bad cold". Her cheeks were red and a little bumpy, her chin more red than it had been, and her nose was running and she was sneezing.

My aunt seriously doesn't realize it's her air things. I thought about it and Maggie isn't over there enough to make a big deal about it, but if it's gonna affect her health...that's not good.

What should I put on her cheeks? Do y'all believe that's from the a.f.'s? I thought about taking her to the dr just to get his confirmation so I could tell her what he says.

ethan's mom
Meridith
Mom to Ethan, born 4/23/08. Diagnosed with Reflux at about 1 month, started medicating with Zantac, which wasn't helpful for us. At about 2.5 months, we started on Prevacid, twice a day, and that is working much better.
Ethan is breastfed and has a few solids that he is enjoying very much.
I didn't post this last time, but I thought that maybe if you bought an "industrial" strength air freshener for your aunt, you could convince her to use only one. You wouldn't necessarily have to buy a real industrial one, just maybe one from an office supply store, a different brand than what she is used to, would convince her that it was better quality and that she only needed one. lol

Our cure all around here for all itches and rashes is aveeno lotion, though we don't deal with eczema or anything.

That's an idea but I don't think it'd work. I've even heard my uncle make comments and she doesn't even get it from him.

what kills me is her house is SPOTLESS and she doesn't need any air fresheners at all! There's no reason for it.

Adriane Reese 05/16/07; seemingly healthy when born; diagnosed with MSPI, severe Reflux, Apnea, Ashtma, Epilepsy, and severe food allergies(rice, corn, milk, soy, eggs, oats, wheat, beef, chicken, squash, pumpkin, avocado, etc.);On apnea monitor, seems to be tolerating RCF w/carbohydrate mixed in; on Zyrtec, Xopenex, Prevacid
Triple paste cream or just cortizone cream. Depends on if it itches. We have used a cream by california baby also that works great. It is just hard to find. We deal with excema all the time and since she is allergic to oatmeal that is what works best for her.
