PICTURE: Aubrey in her cute cat outfit. If you look you can see how her right foot turns in. She walks that way as well. It is not as exaggerated in the morning's but gets worse in the evenings. This was after her nap.
GI Appt today and NOW she gets diahrrea-HELP!!! Aubrey of course.
UGH> Why in the heck does she wait until AFTER the GI appt to do this? I am so frustrated. We started giving Aubrey the soy yogurt a few days ago. The kicker is the soy yogurt does have some milk in it. She has had solid poops, not constipated but very solid. Her appetite has decreased but I also noticed the other day she is cutting a two year molar and it is about half way out.

So today for lunch I gave her another soy yogurt and then this evening-diahrrea. HELP! What would you do? Should I suspect the yogurt and stop it or keep going and see if her body just needs time to adjust. Where in the heck is her manual????? Pulling my hair out...

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
In my not so experienced opinon (lol), I'd keep going for a few days. It could be something else she ate, teeth, a fluke, who knows. If it makes her hiney worse though, I'd stop it. You don't wanna make that worse :(

Hugs Jen!

So sorry about the poop trouble...we've been having similar struggles and it can be totally crazy making since it seems to always be a mystery...

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Katie really had trouble with the soy yogurt. Maybe stop and try again when she is feeling better.

ethan's mom
Mom to Ethan, born 4/23/08. Diagnosed with Reflux at about 1 month, started medicating with Zantac, which wasn't helpful for us. At about 2.5 months, we started on Prevacid, twice a day, and that is working much better.
Ethan is breastfed and has a few solids that he is enjoying very much.
I'm not totally sure, but I think I'd wait for her bum to clear up, and then try the yogurt again, otherwise you won't really know for sure.

Good luck in finding her manual!

Currently drinking Elecare vanilla 30cal/oz and breastmilk.
Meds: Nexium 10mg 2x daily. Carafate as needed, miralaxx as needed, probiotics daily
it is so frustrating b/c there always seems to be multiple things that could cause it. If she doesn't seem in pain, you might try the yogurt a little more. I don't know though. We have dealt with this this week too. Coop has had really strange poop, not sure if it is the miralaxx and I need to cut that dose back, the elecare, or the rotavirus vaccine he had. So confusing! Hope she's feeling better!

Renee, mother to Nicholas, born 4/18/08 with silent reflux, moderate laryngomalacia, Sandifer's Syndrome& suspected MSPI. On Neocate, Simply Thick and Prevacid. Also mother to Nathan, born 12/06/06, who had mild reflux the first few months.
I would probably try a little longer, or wait a few days for diarrhea to stop and try again. Sometimes kids can get diatthea from the teething so it's hard to say.
