Yes, I know....
I know I said "tata for now" a few weeks back, but I had a really crappy week, and came to my "comfort" place for some perspective. I wanted to touch base with everyone, to talk to my friends, to realize that I'm not the only one who struggles. Life is SO hard sometimes. Life can be SO unfair. BUT, we are blessed with the MOST precious gift GOD can itself. Rory is my reason for everything. How do I dare complain? How do I dare question? Sometimes, it can be hard to enjoy our little ones, when life is so hard. If you can capture a moment like I did tonight.....oh, what a breath of fresh air. I looked at Rory, into her eyes, and realized that she is my daughter, MY daughter. I am her mother. The one she will look to for years to come, for comfort, support, education. The one she will mirror. I better get the funk out of my funk, or it will be her funk too. So, on that note, I'm looking forward to forgetting about my woes tomorrow and enjoying a very happy halloween with my goblin. I hope everyone else does as well. Thanks for being here PAGER. Much love to everyone. BIG HUGS.

Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site:
Isn't that aGREAT feeling. There is nothing like it in the world.

That was my reason for getting up day after day, month after month while Jedd was at his worse. I got up and did it all again each day because he needed me to. Who would I be if I quit!!!!! What would that show him.

Jedd is to the age now that if he is across the room and I ask for a hug, he comes running all the way with his arms way out to each sides and gives me the biggest bear hug around my legs.

*sigh* That right there is the reason, to continue struggling each day to do the best for him.

I hope you enjoy your Halloween with one of the cute goblins!!!!! ((HUGS))

I notice if I'm stressed then the kids are stressed or act out more. I think we all get in a funk from time to time. Once I see the kids smile or do nice things for each other instead of fighting I get those feelings of Wow these are my kids. I must be doing one thing right. Happy Halloween to you and your goblin!

Zack born 09/28/07 @ 31 weeks. Dx silent reflux @ 6 mo. Now not so silent. Switched to Elecare @ 9 mo. On Prevacid 15mg 1x daily. Looking to stop the puke and gain some lbs.
Puke stopped about 24 months and he's learning to eat...very slowly.
Still on prevacid and periactin.
I've been the Funkmaster general lately...but I'm working hard to knock it off. I get so overwhelmed sometimes, but at the end of the day my kid is generally healthy and I'm a lucky woman. Everyone nees to feel sorry for themselves now and reminds you of what's really important!

ethan's mom
Mom to Ethan, born 4/23/08. Diagnosed with Reflux at about 1 month, started medicating with Zantac, which wasn't helpful for us. At about 2.5 months, we started on Prevacid, twice a day, and that is working much better.
Ethan is breastfed and has a few solids that he is enjoying very much.
We have funky days around here too. I sometimes give Ethan and myself a bath to "wash the funk off"!

I hope you guys are having a happy Halloween.
