Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Latest on my friend with cancer...
I just got an update. My friend will be having surgery for her throat cancer in Boston (we're in SC). Charleston decided they were not confident enough to do it. They said it's their first surgery for this type cancer. They asked her to sign papers allowing Harvard to "study" it. I can't imagine how it feels to be the first in this type situation...not a race you want to win.

Her chin will be sewn down to her chest area so that her throat can heal and she will not be allowed to talk at all for several days. That will not be easy for her! Not for anyone I guess.

Just pray for her, the surgeons, her dd, her son, her dh. She will prob be in the hospital a week, then they want her to stay there in a hotel for a week just in case. Her daughter is taking a very small infant, we all know how that can be.

So very sad, Melissa :( I hope everyone comes through just fine. Cancer is rampant in my family. It took my father and my grandmother, and will soon take my grandfather. BUT, I have an uncle who just had a brain tumour removed, and they are very positive about his prognosis. Doctors can work wonders nowadays. He has two small girls at home. I will pray for your friend and her family. Please pray for my uncle and his family as well. Hopefully, someday soon, they will find a cure. HUGS.
