Picture: This is what happens when you raise a kid on health food and they get ahold of a Coke! Bad mom, that soda is NOT on the reflux diet.
UPDATE: Isaiah is now 12 and off meds! He is doing great, eating again and hopefully will be catching up in the growing department. I am still in the "hoping it sticks" phase, but we're so happy that he's better!
OT...kitty is in the animal hospital
Our little kitty is very sick again. This time, she was throwing up (again) and got dehydrated...they don't know why she's been throwing up so much, luckily her kidneys and bloodwork seem to be fine, so we're looking at trying to figure out what on earth is going on. X rays didn't show anything in her GI tract, but they may do an ultrasound later today. We can't afford much more, so that's going to be an issue too. Please pray that we'll get this worked out...I am just hoping for a definate answer so that we'll know one way or another what to do. The poor kids are so sad...

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
I am so sorry!!! I hope today you will know more. Please keep us informed.

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Now wouldn't that be crazy if they found something wrong with her GI tract....geez. I hope it's just something simple. I know how you feel. I thought my dog was gonna need back surgery AGAIN and I knew we couldn't afford it. I cried for days, but luckily we got through it without surgery. Hope it's easy...

Mommy of Hunter born 07/16/08. Tongue tied at birth, never learned to bf well. Diagnosed with silent reflux at 5 weeks with barrium swallow. Fed on expressed breast milk. Currently on Gaviscon, Omeprizole (prilosec), Domperidone (Motilium)have yet to see medication have any effect on him. His biggest symptom is his distain of feeding time- he hates it. . Hospitalised for two weeks in September, fed through ng tube.
Oh thats so frustrating and sad! We had a lot of vet visits last year and know where you are coming from- do you have pet insurance?
Check with your
doctor first!
