Our 1 year old daughter has silent reflux, hypotonia as well as benign external hydrocephalus. We are currently weaning onto whole milk (we'll see if it works) and she is also on Prevacid 15mg per day.
Oh boy...
Keira has learned now how to sit up in her crib and now she thinks it's more fun to try and pull up and play rather than nap. The fun begins.... time to lower the crib!

Oh boy! Do you have a video monitor? Just curious! It can be rather fun to observe what they do next from a distance. I know it is tough when they reach that stage. Have a great day.

Nope but I think that will be a near future purchase! We never lowered the crib because she's never been able to do this but that changes today. It's amazing what they'll do when you're not looking. All the sudden they can do things on their own w/ out the help they let you think they need. ;)

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
hehe...that is in our future too huh?!

That's a great friend! LOL (that got you that gift) ;) Yeah I think I'd better do some shopping soon. I did what the Supernanny does w/ kids that don't want to sleep and it worked.

I'm now wakened by the sound of Z slapping on the crib rail when he learned to pull up to a stand..it's really cute, ubt scary, too...we're lowering the crib this weekend...we've been too busy cleaning up puke to do it this week!

Good then maybe I'll lose some weight from the chasing! LOL You know you always find yourself saying "oh once she does this then it'll be easier." Or once this happens ...NO it just changes things is all. LOL
