Aww, thanks for thinking of us.

We took Rory to the hospital today and they confirmed that she has a pectus excavatum. They said that it is nothing to worry about, THANK GOD!! It's usually worse in boys, and we don't have to worry about it causing pressure on her heart or lungs until she's a teenager and her ribs are fully developed. They are quite pliable at this age. They figure it has become more noticeable since her tummy protrudes. I am so relieved. They figure her tummy is just always full of gas, and she doesn't *seem* gassy because she passes it like a lady, silently. We are going to follow up with the GP to determine if she has food allergies. We already know she has intolerances due to the facial rashes she's been having, and the egg vomiting episodes, plus the bloating. They didn't recommend giving her gas drops if she doesn't seem bothered by the bloating. They weighed her with her clothes and shoes on, and she weighed 19lbs 8 oz!!! So, she's gained 2 lbs since losing weight with the virus she had last month. Still not on the charts, but it's a start :) They said that the pectus is not the cause of her growth issues or reflux.

I really really appreciate all the support and advice everyone has given me this past week. I was extremely worried and now I can rest easy again. Much love and hugs to you all. Michelle

Our 1 year old daughter has silent reflux, hypotonia as well as benign external hydrocephalus. We are currently weaning onto whole milk (we'll see if it works) and she is also on Prevacid 15mg per day.
I'm so happy to hear the news and that you now know what's going on. I've been hoping you'd get an answer so you can all breathe a little easier. YAY!!! :)

My name is being used fraudently to ill represent me. Please be cautious of any information you receive with my name. including,,, anything from anyone claiming to be Engi Nowaira online. Otherwise, I will be representing myself in person so that everyone will have opportunity to identify me in person.
My previous drivers license was also stolen. The new one has extra security features on it.

That is great news. I am glad she is okay and that they did not see concern there. It is good to have a confirmation as to what it is and know there is no immediate danger.

Lots and lots of hugs, have a great day.

Picture: This is what happens when you raise a kid on health food and they get ahold of a Coke! Bad mom, that soda is NOT on the reflux diet.
UPDATE: Isaiah is now 12 and off meds! He is doing great, eating again and hopefully will be catching up in the growing department. I am still in the "hoping it sticks" phase, but we're so happy that he's better!
Oh, thank goodness! What a huge relief. Prayers answered!
