I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
do you freeze mashed naners?
Hi everyone... Is it okay to freeze mashed naners? do they turn brown or black? Do you even do it? Thanks!

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
I know you can freeze nanners (lol) in the peel and they do fine. I'm not sure about mashed. If you're trying to make them keep longer, I'd just freeze them whole. Then take them out and put them in a blender or thaw them in some warm water.

Coyle Eagan. One Year Old. Doing well on Cow's Milk flavored with juice :) Drinking two bottles of Go&Grow daily. Eating solids better but still have rough days. No More Silent Reflux-that I can hear anyway.. but puking again. Zantac 2ML 2X daily.
turn brown frozen. dont taste too good either. only freeze whole. mashed can last a couple days in the fridge (still turn brown) but if you dont use them in time you can throw them into a recipe that you like to make for her or you and husband. (like homemade muffins or bread)..

I freeze them whole in the peel for smoothies (for me, not Elyse, she won't touch a smoothie) is hard to peel them, I cut the peel off but the fingers holding the banana get pretty frostbitten, LOL. The peel turns black.

LOL-I thought it was hilarious when a little boy in Maggie's class called a banana "nanner" and a tomato "mater". I do too, but it was funny from a 2yr old. You know, most people teach them the "correct name" even though we call them other stuff. Just thought I'd share.
Check with your
doctor first!
